On the 21st of September this year, as part of the Habitat Valencia Fair, an unprecedented meeting took place between businesses and professionals that had previously won the National Design Award. The event, named “The Design Party", was organised by the company Actiu and RED (Reunion of Design Companies).
Metalarte was one of the companies that took part, as they had received the award in 2004. The company’s brand manager Tomeu Gomila was present and participated along with the other companies in a discussion moderated by Juan Mellen, the executive director of RED who approaches design as an energy for change and a driving force for competition and progress. Gomila stated that the award in this category opened up many doors for his company,that currently exports 80% of its production.
